Why we need to have English and writing skill?

The Importance of English and Writing Skills to Support Future Professions.

Today, the ability to speak English is one of the skills that are in great demand by all young people. It is undeniable that having good English skills can increase the value of one's self-quality. Many of them sometimes even feel inferior if they are not skilled in English and meet friends who are very fluent in English. Someone who is good at English is seen as more expensive than someone who is good at arithmetic. Even in the world of work, English language skills are the main requirement for most companies in accepting job candidates. That means that in addition to being profitable in academics and work, English language skills can also increase a person's interpersonal value.

The writing ability is no less important than the ability to speak English. Writing skill is a primer skill that a university graduate must have to support their career. Colleges really pressure the desire of college graduates to have stronger writing skills. To enter the job market, a college diploma is not enough to boost the recruitment of workers. Many companies are more concerned with skill than the title. 

Recognition of the diploma degree is no longer valid or is the main requirement in recruiting workers. Where mastery of the material is not enough, employers need students who better understand the needs of today's employers. Many companies want colleges to place more emphasis on students' communication skills, both verbal and written. So those students are asked to think critically about what needs are currently being prioritized. Therefore, English language skills and study of writing are the most effective options in preparing them to enter a world of different careers. 

Studying English and writing can provide access to much desired or needed skill development and provide many different job opportunities. Because in the world of work a degree is not the main focus anymore, but the ability to think critically, communicate clearly, discuss, and solve problems is more useful and needed than a degree. Based on the explanation, it can be concluded that writing and English skills are important to support their career prospects in the future. Because in reality, employers do not focus on finding students with degrees that are directly aligned with their job title or vocational path but rather emphasize their abilities and skills, especially writing and English skills.
